Participatory live painting and the creation of a work in real-time by an artist, two distinct practices.

Often confused, our practices of Participatory live painting and of show live d'artistes yet distinct in many aspects. Although in both cases certain points seem similar and agree, notably that it results a piece created by an artist under the Street Designers label, a mark of quality as all are well-known in the urban art scene, However, it is important to specify the particularities of these two offers with an artistic dimension and all the benefits that stem from them.

Participative live painting or collective mural, your teams integrate the creative process

Let's start with the Participatory live painting, an Anglicism that can be defined as a Live collective painting. This service for companies that wish to offer an unusual activity for their employees or collaborators, as well as to encourage them to work together on a common project, in commissioning one of our graffiti artists to imagine a work in connection with the client's requests. These last ones, of an aesthetic and pictorial nature, are mainly focused around visual elements which translate the values defended and the specificities of the entity concerned so that they appear, in a concrete or allegorical way, within the web.

This Artistic animation presents itself in two forms which depend mainly on the objectives aimed at by the sponsor. Either it can be organised as a team building, for a Collaborative mural, or else in Live painting,  for which the contribution of spectators takes place under the direction of a Artist coach.

Team building collaborative fresco

For the first, which is organised based on the model of Team building, the idea is above all to federate the troops and bring them to think together through close collaboration between teammates, divided into small groups for the creation of a mural composed of several canvases that form a whole. In this fun and creative workshop, Work, communication and synchronisation between partners from diverse teams are becoming essential criteria for this large-scale project to be carried out correctly.. The elements that will be represented there, symbolically or allegorically, are previously chosen in agreement with management and Each fragment that will form the entirety of the fresco becomes as complementary as the teammates themselves in the tasks distributed for this artistic endeavour..

Participative live painting, everyone's little touch forms a whole

The Participatory live painting, for which employees and/or partners are also sought, presents itself slightly differently. In this workshop, which offers participation in the creation of a work of art composed in real-time, The participants will witness the creation of a pre-conceived canvas, the sketch of which has been previously approved by management with a professional street artist. They can then, on a voluntary basis and according to individual motivation, also contribute to its completion, under the direction and watchful eye of this Artistic coach.

Generally, the latter first mocks up the canvas after being briefed on the client's expectations and he Then, teams are left to add their own touch. Their main role lies in their contribution through colouring in deliberately empty areas, or they may also be asked to sign or illustrate certain parts. This small contribution will then engrave their names for posterity within the company or the associative structure..

Within this pictorial representation, the idea is to include the symbolic elements that convey the entity's values, accompanied by the colour code of the graphic charter that forms its visual identity. This could also be an illustration that celebrates, for example, The company's founding anniversary or another event that you wish to establish as a milestone for future growth or development.

In this sense, you first explain to us what your desires are, what you would like to see emerge from this painting, then our street artist then sketches a coherent draft in line with your requests so that the work can be carried out during the event dedicated to these celebrations. Once all parties have agreed, creation begins and your collaborators take care of filling in the canvas themselves. They directly become actors and actresses in its development. This extraordinary workshop can easily energise, or even launch, a dynamic during a reunion seminar, or as part of one of your corporate lunches or dinners, or a product launch.

Once completed, This collective achievement, to which your teams have contributed hand in hand, belongs to you.. When it is hung in your premises, in a meeting room, break room or offices, Your employees will proudly look back on this relaxing yet unusual activity that took them out of the ordinary and allowed them to be written into the company's history through teamwork..

Live d’artiste: a performance orchestrated as a unique show

The Show live of one or more artists is distinct from the Participatory live painting and of the Collaborative murals for quite obvious reasons. This unique artistic service involves inviting one of our graffiti artists, all of whom are equally renowned on the Parisian street art scene, to to come and create a work of art during a seminar, a company evening, an association event, an inauguration, and even a staff lunch or dinner.

It is a true spectacle that you are offering to the astonished audiences, whether they are members of the association or the company, as they We will observe the creation of the work live., step by step and without any tricks.

For this unparalleled animation, you can also challenge us by defining any medium. We will rise to the challenge with flying colours and happily adapt. For example, in addition to canvases, we also produce photocalls and we haven't missed out on current contemporary art trends either, as our team has become Vehicle customisation expert.

To each their own style for an original creation

This animation, which is a form of artistic performance, can also easily to be performed with background music, a speaker on stage, or under the dimmed or coloured lights of spotlights, and even be broadcast live on a giant screen. However, for this to happen, the venue you have chosen must naturally have adequate sound and lighting equipment and its layout must allow for it.. Also, and this is one of the most important points, as part of this unparalleled performance which, we promise, will leave no one unmoved, The artist needs to remain relatively free in their composition.

Instructions such as «adhere to the company's graphic charter colours», «rework the logo» or «integrate figures related to growth or keywords in prominence», as was the case for the show that gave Jeremy Luks for Planity, are, however, of course, conceivable. However, this fresco must never deviate from the artist's style.

However, as all the members of our team at Street Designers are Seasoned professionals who regularly exhibit in galleries located in the four corners of the country, each of our street artists possesses their artistic specialities and thus a true style that is their own. After all, one does not ask a Jean-Michel Basquiat to paint like Eugène Delacroix Each to their own style, and all the better for it, otherwise art would be as standard and monotonous a field as any other.

To return to this unique offer, which borders on a real-time artistic performance, it is proving particularly popular with companies that, on the one hand, wish to offer An activity as entertaining as it is unusual to their collaborators. On the other hand, to acquire an original work hand-signed by a renowned artist in the urban art scene and which will be entirely yours afterwards. But wait, these are not the only advantages of this service, which, we can't repeat it enough, really has it all.

By following these links, you can relive a selection of our performances through reading and images. live art for clients who have placed their trust in us, such as Dalkia, Somfy, Tesa,  Canal+, Microsoft France, SIA Partners, and many more.

The acquisition of tax-deductible works of art…

Once it's in your hands, there are more than just aesthetic benefits to acquiring a canvas signed by a professional artist. It's worth remembering that All companies subject to corporation tax can benefit from tax relief when acquiring a work of art.. As explained on the website of Public service : « Companies that purchase a work of original art or a musical instrument before 31 December 2022 can deduct the purchase price from their taxable income.. »

… Under the guise of conditions to be met…

Nevertheless, there are strict conditions to be met if one wishes to benefit from this tax advantage. This tax reduction applies to the purchase original works of art that have been entirely created by the artist's hand. Thus, whether it is of a painting, a drawing, a watercolour, an engraving, print or lithograph and even a sculpture, a tapestry or a ceramic, as long as one of the latter has been entirely designed by an artist's hand, it can then be subject to tax relief.

But that's not all. It's important to understand that the work does not belong to a natural person but rather to the associative structure or the company that commissioned its manufacture. In order to benefit from this significant tax advantage, the law first requires that that the artist is still alive when you buy the artwork as it is It is mandatory to prove the existence of this professional at the time of the acquisition date and during their registration with the dedicated services..

Secondly, once you are in possession of the work in question, it is then imperative to exhibit it for a period of five years in a place freely accessible to spectators or employees. The tax authorities clarify: « This period corresponds to the accounting year in which the work was acquired and the following 4 years.. » You will then be able deduct from your taxable income a capital allowance, so 20%, which is one-fifth of the work, every year in order to reduce the taxes relating to your company. It should be noted, however, that this amount cannot exceed 51% of turnover. In practical terms, if the work produced cost €10,000, you can deduct €2,000 per year for five years, provided your turnover does not exceed €40,000.

Once you own this signed piece of art, if you don't entrust it to a museum, you can then without any issue to install it on your premises, provided that the employees are informed through signage that is as clear as it is visible to everyone. In practice, this means that all employees of the company must be able to come freely to admire the painting and that without any hindrance. This work, of which you have become the sole owner, or at least your company, cannot therefore under no circumstances be left in an individual office, nor in a room to which only a restricted part of the staff would have access. It is thus specified that «The company that would exhibit the acquired work in an employee's office, in a personal residence, or in a client-only area would not be eligible for the tax advantage. ».

... and obligations that you absolutely must know!

There are however two other obligations to be met to benefit from this tax relief. The first is to register the work as a fixed asset (this is defined as a « A tangible fixed asset that is owned by a company. This could include land, buildings, or industrial equipment, for example. ») in its accounting. It is also necessary « affect the amount of tax deductions to a Special reserve account, appearing in the passive »It is therefore advisable to attach a specific document to your income statement concerning the constitution of this reserve, which must comply with the model required by the tax authorities.

If all these conditions are met, You can then deduct VAT and other taxes. (in fact, you acquire the work at its ex-VAT purchase price), as well as its transport and other deductible expenses which allow it to be transported without being damaged to the place where it will be exhibited. However, there is still one final, necessary obligation if you wish to benefit from this advantageous tax reduction. This final obligation is that the tax exemption request is duly issued. from the first year of obtaining this work. If you delay, you risk losing the 20% deduction for the first year.

As you may have already understood, in this sense and in view of the legislation, our Artist biographies kill two birds with one stone. For one thing You offer your collaborators an unusual, spectacular performance that will remain etched in their memories.. And on top of that, once the show is over, you become the happy owner of a signed work of art that you can then offset against tax to lighten your load. However, it should be noted that, as participatory live painting animations or the design of a collective fresco are not canvases entirely produced by the artist's hand, the criteria are not met and the resulting works can therefore not be subject to any tax deduction.

If you also wish to have items personalised by artists for a marketing campaign or an event evening, to call upon a street artist for a live street art show, to build a DIY table football, to introduce your teams to graffiti, Pop Art, plant graffiti or collaborative fresco during a corporate seminar, or to equip yourselves with a mural that reflects your values, there's only one thing to do.
