STREET DESIGNERS X VERSO HEALTHCARE: TEAM BUILDING GRAFFITI IN SAINT-GRATIEN (95)
In early November, on a sunny autumn afternoon, the artist-coach Jet discovered Saint-Gratien, a small town in the Val-d’Oise not far from Paris, where staff from Verso Healthcare were waiting for him to lead a graffiti workshop. A major French player in the healthcare sector, Verso works directly with healthcare professionals (private practitioners, hospitals, clinics, care homes, etc.), but on this occasion, the guardian angels of this caring company were taken under the wing of the events agency Street designers for a collaborative graffiti team-building session.
After a brief tutorial given by the coach-artist Young artists, eager to learn how to use spray paint, quickly got to work. Keen to get their hands on this unfamiliar yet accessible tool, these 2.0 painters immediately embraced the challenge, and the ephemeral wall Celograff was repainted in record time. The shy little strokes and lines of the first moments quickly gave way to words, first names and colourful shapes, and the overflowing inspiration of the student artists united everyone, with a rediscovered childlike soul in each of them.
With the various graffiti techniques thoroughly mastered, along with live advice and demonstrations from coach and artist Jet, the 10 participants then competed graphically in a graffiti Battle. Concentration, organisation, execution – each team gave their all to reveal their maximum artistic potential and dazzle the opposing team. All with enthusiasm and an incredible appetite for creation!
With their hands well warmed up and having mastered the art of spray painting, Jet set up the easels with their respective canvases to round off the collective art workshop with the icing on the cake: the final collaborative piece, which will be proudly displayed in Verso’s offices. The Battle was over; the watchword was reunification. After consulting to choose their colour palette, the 10 artists had the honour of painting the four letters of ‘Verso’ that Jet had sketched out beforehand. An unforgettable memory for the Verso staff, who took possession of their joint artistic project, telling us that the events agency Street Designers would always be welcome on their premises.
