Citroën Ami customised by our street artists

For the Amifest festival in Lille, which brought together no fewer than 100 Ami customers and owners, the Ami is a licence-free vehicle offered by the Citroën brand for 14 to 24 year olds, the agency L’Alternative asked us to create a series of 5 stickers exclusively for the car manufacturer's model's 3rd anniversary. For this colourful and festive event, we decided to make a splash by deploying a participatory live painting session combined with a live artist show.

Street Designers X Citroën: Interactive live painting, live artist performance and bespoke stickers

On the occasion of the festival Amifest of Lille, which brought together no fewer than 100 clients and owners D'Amie, ... licence-free vehicle offered by the brand Citroën for young people aged 14 to 24, L'Alternative Agency asked us to carry out a series of 5 stickers designed exclusively for the 3rd anniversary of the car brand's model. For this colourful festive event, we've decided to pull out all the stops by deploying a Participatory live painting doubled with a show live d'artiste.

It's at La Chaufferie Tourcoing that each vehicle passed through an adhesive applicator stand which allowed our street artist Check, of customise them with his expert touch. In parallel, he also set himself to a live show performance during the festival. Scarred, a graffiti artist equally talented and also recognised by his peers on the street art circuit, has, for his part, taken charge to animate an open-access participatory mural on a second vehicle. Amateurs of all kinds were thus able to practice spray painting on an unusual medium.

This practice of Artistic vehicle customisation, which dates back at least to the 1960s, is experiencing a renewed interest, particularly in the field of graffiti and street art. This allows the mass-manufacturing industry to showcase (or to sell) models as unique as they are original, transformed into works of art by renowned artists.

With the growing popularity of this type of artistic event – which can easily be staged as a live painting session in front of an audience – we have also teamed up with Street Designers to draw on the expertise of our street artists to offer vehicles redesigned in line with our clients’ values and visual identity. For example, last year, Opera, a member of our team and a recognised graffiti artist on the Parisian graffiti scene, was invited to Decorate a scooter for the Microsoft Build launch.

If you too wish to customise a vehicle with a street artist or perform a live show during the launch of a new model, don't hesitate to contact us. ICI or 0650854574.
