What if the next round table for your seminar took shape... in cardboard?

Forget classic team-building activities: here, it's all about creativity, making, and collaboration. During a DIY cardboard furniture workshop, each group sets out to create a sturdy, eco-friendly, and customisable item; a table, an armchair, a coffee table, a stool, or any other everyday piece of furniture made from cardboard.

This creative and sustainable activity transforms plain kraft paper into a hand-painted designer piece of furniture, whilst strengthening team cohesion and communication. In a few steps, participants learn time management, how to make the right choices of materials and colours, and how to add a unique decorative touch. The result? A recyclable and original item, embodying shared values and true team spirit.

What does this DIY team building involve?

The workshop takes place in several stages. After an introduction led by our artist facilitators, participants form groups and receive their furniture kit: an armchair, a coffee table, a recycling bin, a counter, a high table... The model is chosen in advance from a selection of sturdy, recycled honeycomb cardboard objects.

Each team begins by assembling its piece. Subsequently, the assembly calls for logic, cooperation and a degree of rigour. Elements are passed around, fitted, and interlocked. The object gradually takes shape, in an atmosphere reminiscent of childhood crafts, but more organised.

Once the furniture is assembled, it's time for customisation! Anything goes here: non-toxic acrylic paints, solvent-free spray cans, markers, stencils...

Teams can follow a proposed graphic universe (Pop art, street art, typography, Doodle art, motifs inspired by a famous artist, etc.), or let their imagination run wild. Some go for colour and boldness, others opt for simplicity, the play of textures, or lettering. This moment also triggers passionate discussions, aesthetic debates, and, of course, bursts of laughter. This is where the group's energy is revealed. Of course, you will be helped by our expert artists to bring your creations to life.

If you wish to go even further in the creation of an iconic object entirely personalised by your teams, Our DIY foosball team building propose a similar experience around a fun and unifying piece of furniture.

A DIY animation suitable for all profiles

The workshop requires no prior artistic skill or technical knowledge. Everything is done to ensure every participant finds their place. Some take the lead on construction, others thrive in visual creation. Some often bring unexpected ideas, and those who are most comfortable set the pace. The format encourages listening, dialogue, and complementarity.

Our artists move from one group to another to offer advice, suggest adjustments, and encourage graphic attempts.

At the end of the workshop, all the creations are brought together for a session to showcase them, where participants can chat and take photos. The furniture can then be integrated into your workspaces or donated to a charity. In any case, the object retains the memory of the shared moment.

Why choose this CSR team-building activity?

The furniture used in the workshop is made from recycled cardboard from a local partner in Île-de-France. We favour short supply chains and responsible materials with a low logistical footprint. The format itself allows you to engage your teams on concrete themes related to sustainable development, recycling, and the sensible use of resources.

It's also an indirect way of raising awareness without moralising. Because, without mentioning carbon footprints or impact assessments, it's about constructing and using materials under the best conditions. And the employees leave with a useful, stable, and expressive object.

This cardboard furniture team building can be incorporated into your CSR days, company seminars, or team events. It can be adapted to any type of venue: in a room, in an open-plan office cleared for the occasion, or in an event space in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nantes, or elsewhere.

A customisable 100 % format

Would you like your company logo to be featured? To work on a specific graphic charter? To highlight your group's values? We prepare the workshop in conjunction with your communications or CSR team so that the animation serves your objectives.

It is also possible to integrate an artistic theme into the workshop: drawing inspiration from a painting movement, a contemporary artist, or simply a visual atmosphere defined by you. We provide inspiration sheets and concrete examples for greater originality and to facilitate creation.

We have the answers

This is a creative and collaborative team-building workshop. In teams of 10, participants assemble a honeycomb cardboard piece of furniture (table, chair, armchair, etc.) before customising it in their chosen artistic style: graffiti, doodle art, graphic style, Keith Haring, Lorem. It is an environmentally responsible, committed, and artistic workshop.

The activity takes approximately 2 hours. It includes furniture assembly and the team decoration phase.

The activity is designed for groups ranging from 10 to a maximum of 150 people. Each team of 10 people builds a piece of cardboard furniture. The activity is therefore scaled according to the total number of participants.

The workshop fosters team cohesion, stimulates creativity, and creates a reusable collective work. It also forms part of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach, highlighting recyclable materials and a collaborative spirit.

We offer various artistic inspirations (graffiti, doodles, typography, graphic design, or in the style of Keith Haring, Lorem, Banksy, etc.). Our artist coaches are here to guide and support you in personalising eco-friendly and artistic furniture.

We work with a supplier specialising in recycled and recyclable honeycomb cardboard. The furniture is robust, lightweight, and designed to be assembled without tools. It is perfect for artistic personalisation and for reuse or display on your premises.

Furniture can be collected by the client at the end of the event, provided they have a suitable vehicle (van or spacious boot). Post-event delivery to the client's premises within the Paris region is included in the basic quote. Outside of the Île-de-France region, delivery is also possible via a courier, subject to a quote.

Yes, we are rolling out animated events across France. In this case, flat-pack furniture is delivered to the event venue. However, delivery of furniture built at the client's premises is not included and remains an optional extra to be confirmed in the quote.

Yes, the activities are accessible to people with reduced mobility and pregnant women. Specific arrangements can be made if necessary to ensure everyone's comfort.
