At Street Designers, we believe that a wall is not just a surface: it is a space for dialogue, creativity and imagination for our children.

Our approach is based on a multi-stage process: we co-create the mock-up with the pupils in the classroom, then we paint it together, on a wall or on the ground in the playground.

Floor murals and fun trails: art that encourages you to move
Some of our achievements include what is known as active design: a playful way of painting artistic geometric and figurative shapes on the ground to encourage sports activity, movement, and play among young people.
These floor murals allow for the creation of artistic movement trails, creative hopscotch games, and educational markings that encourage physical activity without the participants even realising it.
These visual creations are developed in co-creation with the artist and the children, and are adapted to the context of each establishment.

What is a participatory mural in a school?
This is an artistic project carried out with pupils and a professional street artist. Together, they imagine and paint a mural or floor artwork, on the theme of school, nature, living together or any other educational value. Each child participates and becomes a co-creator of the work.

How much does a wall mural for a school cost?

How does a participatory mural project with students typically work?
The artist first comes into the classroom to create the mock-up with the children. Then, the execution takes place on the wall or the floor with the participation of the pupils, under the supervision of our team. The project can span one or more days.

What materials do you use for painting frescoes?
We use professional non-toxic, solvent-free paints that are child-friendly and weather-resistant. All materials are supplied by our teams.

How long does it take to create a school mural?
Depending on the surface area and the students' level of participation, the undertaking takes 1 to 5 days. We plan the project with the teaching team so as not to disrupt the school routine.
