Forget traditional seminars and embrace an original activity that will surprise and unite: paper cut team building. Inspired by the world of Matisse, this creative workshop invites your teams to create a collaborative mural using only paper, cutting, and vibrant colours. Guided by an expert artist, your colleagues will discover a simple yet powerful artistic technique that allows them to express their ideas, unleash their creativity, and work together on a collective project. Each participant contributes to the final creation, a unique piece that illustrates the team spirit, communication, and cohesion within the company. More than just a workshop, it's an artistic and fun experience, a collective challenge that transforms a humble material into memorable souvenirs, proudly displayed on your premises.
The team at Street Designers has designed this activity as a creative workshop that is accessible, stimulating and meaningful. Working in teams, your staff will design, cut out and assemble a colourful collage using only paper, scissors and glue. It’s a return to basics – with no screens or digital tools – to rediscover the joy of working together.
The paper fresco team building activity consists of a group of people collaboratively creating a large piece of artwork, typically on paper. Participants usually work together on different sections of the same canvas or paper, with a shared theme or objective. The process often involves brainstorming, planning, and executing the artwork collectively. It's designed to foster communication, cooperation, and creativity among team members, leading to a tangible outcome that represents their combined efforts.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the world of paper cutting and great masters such as Henri Matisse, Jean Arp, Sonia Delaunay and Paul Klee. Our artists and coaches will present some inspirations, set the framework for the project, and then guide the different teams through their collective reflection phase. Each group (generally ten people) will define a concept, a keyword, and a strong image related to the brand, collective identity, or the theme of the day.
Once the guiding theme is established, it's time to create: participants choose colours, cut out shapes, and experiment with compositions in a free spirit. The aim is not to create a perfect work, but a communal fresco at each table, the result of teamwork.
Why choose a paper-cutting workshop for your business?
Because sometimes it takes very little to create a lot. A pair of scissors, a few sheets of paper, and a shared idea: that's all it takes to spark a new group dynamic, driven by the desire to do things together.
The Paper Cut team building activity is for everyone, with no technical barriers or need to know how to draw. Here, cutting acts as a simple yet powerful tool for materialising ideas, giving shape to a message, and transforming the abstract into the visible.
Each participant finds their place naturally. Some imagine, others cut, and still others assemble, test, and adjust. Within each group, roles are distributed effortlessly, in a constant back-and-forth between collective reflection and individual action. And in a short time, ideas come to life.
This is an activity that values complementarity, stimulates listening, and allows for the forging of different kinds of bonds, far removed from daily habits, digital tools, and hierarchical structures.
Who can participate in this creative activity?
This paper team-building activity is open to everyone. No artistic prerequisites are necessary. The activity adapts to all profiles: creative, rational, discreet, dynamic... Everyone can find their place in the group and contribute in their own way.
We operate in all types of businesses, across all sectors, in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille and throughout France, as well as abroad for your European events.
Whether you have 10 or 300 participants, we adapt the format, pace, instructions, and tools.
Where does the paper fresco team building take place?
The workshop can be organised:
- Within your offices or internal premises, if the space is clear
- In an event venue of your choice (seminar room, hotel, co-working space...)
- Outdoors if the weather permits
The installation is quick. We bring all the necessary materials: quality coloured papers, precision scissors, suitable glues, and presentation stands if needed. The activity presents no technical risks or particular constraints.
How long does the activity last?
Allow approximately 1.5 to 2 hours on average to complete a finished fresco, taking into account the brainstorming phase, teamwork, and the presentation. We can also arrange for longer formats (up to 3 hours) if you wish to include in-depth work. more complex around your values.
What is the point of creating a piece of work collaboratively?
Creating a collaborative paper mural is more than just a creative pastime. It's a powerful tool for team cohesion, an original way to foster reflection on collective identity, and a visual means of valuing abstract ideas: kindness, boldness, trust, innovation, commitment...
This form of expression promotes co-construction, respect for ideas, and agility. It invites us to collaborate with others, to negotiate forms and balances, and to adjust. All useful skills in the workplace.
To illustrate your company values through painting and graphic energy inspired by Keith Haring, Pop Art team building rests on the same collaborative process, with a more painterly approach than cutting and pasting.
What happens to the fresco after the workshop?
Once the workshop is finished, the paper fresco can be:
- Framed and displayed in your workspaces
- Presented at an internal event (drinks reception, speech, exhibition)
- Used as a basis for internal communication (photos, posters, slides)
- Cut into modules to create several tables for display in different departments
Why choose Street Designers for this event?
Because we don't do standardised team building. Each intervention is tailor-made, depending on your objectives, your company culture and the profile of the participants. Our artists know how to adapt, transmit without imposing, and guide without directing.
