Liven up your corporate evening with 10 original ideas | Street Designers

Dinner cocktails with the CEO's speech, and evenings in a private restaurant with background music – these formats have their merits. But they rely on a risky gamble: that people will naturally talk to each other, that the atmosphere will establish itself automatically. It sometimes works. Often, people stay in their own groups with their drinks, and you go home having mostly spoken to those you already knew. Well-chosen entertainment changes the dynamic of the evening. Here are 10 formats we have deployed for company events, from a cocktail party for 50 people to a gala for 800 guests.

Why opt for an artistic performance for your corporate party?

An artistic animation gives guests something to do with their hands or something to look at. Both create conversations that a buffet alone does not generate.

The result? More spontaneous exchanges, a memorable atmosphere and often a collective piece to exhibit the next day at your premises.

1. Show live d’artiste street art

An artist from the world of street art or graffiti creates a work live during your evening or event. Selected in advance with the client, the artist works within their visual universe and using their own artistic language. The aim is not to produce a marketing animation, but to allow guests to witness the creation of a genuine original work in real time.

Throughout the performance, guests can observe the different stages of creation, interact with the artist, and discover their technique, gestures and approach. The artistic show then becomes as much an artistic presence as a moment of contemplation within the event. It is also a great opportunity to chat with the artist present and get to know them.

The artwork produced can then be kept by the company or the collector as a unique piece created during the evening. The advantage of being able to purchase tax-deductible artwork, provided it is displayed on the premises where it can be seen by everyone.

Street Designers offers the show live d'artistes across France, with recognised artists from the contemporary street art and graffiti scene.

2. Participative live painting

Same principle as the live show, but done by your colleagues. It’s not free painting; it’s a guided, structured gesture that requires no skill. But the fact of having physically contributed to a work completely changes the relationship one has with it.

This format works particularly well for parties that have a message to embody: project launch, end-of-year party, merger celebration, company anniversary. The collective artwork becomes a visual metaphor that you didn't need to explain, the participants experienced it.

An event organised by the Street Designers team that has been hugely successful for many years.

This mural is entirely bespoke and developed beforehand by an artist from a precise client brief. This mural embodies the visual codes, messages and company values.

Street Designers offers the Live Participative Painting, associated with a Texture Painting or a Speed Painting depending on the desired atmosphere.

3. Customisation bar

An activity stand run by artists, where each guest customises an item with guidance or independently: tote bags, pencil cases, caps, t-shirts, pouches, etc. The format works particularly well for cocktail parties with a continuous flow of guests, as it doesn't require synchronisation, people can drop in whenever they like and stay for as long as they wish.

It's also a concrete response to the problem of 'goodies': instead of a pen or notebook forgotten in a drawer, guests leave with something they made themselves. The object has a story, and that story is the evening.

The success of this workshop is such that it is full all evening.

The possibilities are numerous, as are the goodies. The customisations are carried out by artists, calligraphers, using stencils and special markers, adapted to the materials. Above all, the artists present are active figures in the current art movement.

4. Photocall Customised Photo

A photo booth is provided. Guests take photos freely and bring them to the artists. The artists work directly on the photos with markers. The artist can draw a monument to a figure, add graphic elements in text, or create a few caricatures. Participants can share their ideas with them.

Each person leaves with an original photograph they couldn't have obtained elsewhere.

What surprised us the first time we offered this animation invented by our team: the queue itself becomes an animation. Like the «sticker bar» or «upcycling customisation bar» animation, these free-access workshops are a great success during company events.

This isn't a stand you visit and leave; it's a space where you linger, where you chat with your colleagues in the queue, which is exactly what we Looking for you at a party.

5. Sticker Bar

Several artists at a stand will be creating entirely bespoke stickers, hand-drawn to guests' specific requests. This is the most accessible activity we offer, along with the customisation goodies bar, suitable for all ages and all formats.

A large set of colourful sticky notes is made available to the participants. Each person chooses their colour and gives the artist their instructions and their sticky note, so that they can create a drawing made live and by hand. Typography, pictogram, simple small illustration.

Each guest leaves with their sticker and can stick it on their laptop, locker, water bottle, or any other surface.

We invented this animation and have deployed it for many companies. It always creates enthusiasm and attracts a great many people during the evening. This animation is part of our greatest success.

6. Speed painting and glitter painting live

An artist creates a complete work of art in a few minutes. What makes this format effective in the evening or during the day is less the result than the progression: seeing a blank canvas become something recognisable in ten minutes creates collective attention. Everyone is looking in the same direction.

The glitter painting version enhances the artwork with a shower of iridescent glitter. The format fits well between two parts of the programme, between the cocktail reception and dinner, or as a visual closing before departure, or even during an off-stage break in a plenary session.

Street Designers offers the Live Speed Painting and Glitter Painting Show, adaptable in several performances of 10 to 20 minutes throughout the evening.

8. Theatrical improvisation workshop

Professional comedians lead progressive improvisation exercises, gradually including guests. The result is always hilarious and often reveals unsuspected talents within the teams. Improvisation develops listening skills, responsiveness, and creativity.

Very suitable for evenings with the aim of team cohesion or of uniting around shared values. The format is flexible: from 30 minutes of performance to 2 hours of interactive workshop.

9. Private café-concert and jam session

Musicians perform live, and guests can gradually join the stage. What distinguishes a jam session from a classic concert is this porosity between the spectators and the artists: the barrier exists, but it can be crossed.

Live music has a quality that few entertainment forms possess: it creates an emotional memory. We remember an evening where we heard something special for much longer than an evening where we ate well.

10. Animation digital graffiti

On a giant screen or directly on a physical wall, guests create their own digital graffiti masterpieces accompanied by an artist. The creations appear instantly on the projection surface, replicating the sensations of graffiti without the constraints of odour and paint.

This animation blends street art culture and digital tools in an immersive approach that's accessible to all audiences. Participants can experiment with different graffiti effects, styles, and techniques in real-time, while discovering the visual codes of urban art in a different way.

A Photocall option can also be integrated into the installation. Guests are photographed and then displayed in real-time on the creation surface to personalise their portraits using stickers from our visual effects bank or by directly drawing on their photos on the screen.

Street Designers offersthe Photocall Graffiti Digital and the workshop Street Art in Virtual Reality for a 100 % digital experience.

How to choose the animation that suits your party?

Three parameters guide the choice: the structure of the evening (continuous flow cocktail reception or sequenced programme), the size of the group, and what you want people to remember the next day.

For a cocktail party where guests arrive and leave at different times, self-contained stations work best: a customisation bar, a sticker bar, a photo booth, and a digital graffiti wall. Guests can stop by at their own pace, without missing anything.

For a highlight programme, a mid-evening highlight, a transition between cocktail and dinner: the Live Show, Speed Painting or interactive Live Painting create the gathering effect we're looking for.

For an evening where team cohesion is as important as celebration, improvisational theatre and jam sessions are the formats that create the most lasting memories, because they demand something from the participants, not just their presence.
